Hello,

I didn’t see an appropriate forum so I posted this here, mods: please move if necessary.  I also did a forum search with no results.  I have an Android Smartphone that has really weak headphone volume and won’t power the LED in the programming cable, and I was wondering what type Audio Amplifier I should use to amplify the programming signal.  Is a class D Audio Amplifier OK or does it need to be AB?  What are the frequencies the Edison uses for programming?  Is there a spec sheet for that?  I’d also like to use a 4 way audio line splitter to program multiple Edisons at a time, has anyone tried this?  What about a bluetooth receiver and amplifier?  Does the BT cut too much of the signal for that to work?

Thank you!

Hi

Sorry this got lost somewhere along the way.

We dont have a spec sheet for the audio signals we use but we are using a carrier of 44.1 kHz

So far we have not heard of any issues with either type of amplifier.

In the office we use a 6 way splitter to program up to 5 Edisons at once and have had no issues with program downloads or firmware updates.

We have not tried programming over a Bluetooth speaker, if you try please let us know how you go

Heads up

The Australian Federal Parliament has passed a law that extends goods and services tax (GST) to low value imports of physical goods imported by consumers from 1 July 2018.

This means that all customers purchasing Edison robots and accessories with an Australian shipping address must now pay GST. The GST will be automatically added to your purchase and show as a line item on your invoice.

We've detected that you are in Australia, so we wanted to let you know that we have changed your settings to view our Australian site, which displays GST inclusive pricing.
