My understanding from the documentation is that an event handler is an interrupt.  The main loop should pause while the user-defined function runs and then the main loop should resume.

Check out the code here:

http://www.edpyapp.com/share/TyOmq

Things begin as expected... It plays the two oscillating tones until the round button is pressed.  The rollDice() function runs and it counts off the sort-of random-ish number that was "rolled".  Then things get weird.  It never starts playing the two tones from the main loop again.   It does, however, display a new dice roll if I press the round button again.

I thought that, maybe, the timer was running out so I added a second event handler to reset the countdown when it runs out.

Is anyone willing to upload this to their Edison and see if it behaves the same way?

Thanks!

Mike

Hi Mike,

Currently, there seems to be a bug in EdPy which is causing your share code to open up to a blank program.

Could you please follow the below steps to ensure that the share code is working correctly.

1. Open the program you wish to share

2. Do NOT click save

3. Produce a share code

4. Test the share code in incognito mode to ensure correct share code.

It seems that if you write a program and save it and then immediately click share the code will not work.

Hi Mike,

At this point, I'm completely lost. For some reason that opens up another blank EdPy program.

We may need to resort to an old fashioned screenshot. This is not super effective as EdPy is sensitive to blank spaces and syntax but it is worth a try.

Heads up

The Australian Federal Parliament has passed a law that extends goods and services tax (GST) to low value imports of physical goods imported by consumers from 1 July 2018.

This means that all customers purchasing Edison robots and accessories with an Australian shipping address must now pay GST. The GST will be automatically added to your purchase and show as a line item on your invoice.

We've detected that you are in Australia, so we wanted to let you know that we have changed your settings to view our Australian site, which displays GST inclusive pricing.
