Hi everyone,

We are trying to complete the train signal challenge whereby one Edison detects a train, and another controls a boom gate. We are having difficulty getting the boom gate Edison to receive the signal and raise the boom gate.  The signaling program appears to be working. We’ve installed a beep so that we know when the signal is sent and received. This is our boom gate program, would love some troubleshooting advice please.

Hi Archer,

I have had a little look at your program and I believe the issue is inside the forever loop. You have a ‘wait until IR message detected’ at the start and the end of the program. I believe that it may be fixed if you remove the one at the end. Because once at the end of the loop you will wait for an IR message then it will start the loop again and instantly look for another IR message before doing anything.

Heads up

The Australian Federal Parliament has passed a law that extends goods and services tax (GST) to low value imports of physical goods imported by consumers from 1 July 2018.

This means that all customers purchasing Edison robots and accessories with an Australian shipping address must now pay GST. The GST will be automatically added to your purchase and show as a line item on your invoice.

We've detected that you are in Australia, so we wanted to let you know that we have changed your settings to view our Australian site, which displays GST inclusive pricing.
