Hi,

I am new to Edison and the software. I have downloaded Edware successfully but am having trouble programming edison. When I press the program edison button, no dialogue window opens to download to edison. Everything else seems to be working properly. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi, David

Your programming issues may be caused by sound enhancement software on the computer you are using.

Our sound enhancement troubleshooting videos provide a detailed explanation on how to disable sound enhancements.

Can you please confirm that ‘disable all enhancements’ is ticked as per the image here https://meetedison.com/robot-activities/youre-a-robot-programmer/installing-edware

If the disable sound enhancements box is already ticked and you are still experiencing issues, there is a chance that your PC might have other applications which have sound enhancements installed.

These applications can be found via the Control Panel by selecting ‘Hardware and Sound’.

Have a look in Hardware and Sound for any other software application with a name that suggests it is used for sound settings. Common applications include ‘Dell Sound’, ‘SRS Sound enhancement’, ‘HP Audio’, ‘DTS’ and ‘Dolby’.

If you find one of these applications, open it and check for any settings that include sound enhancements. These may be under a section called something like ‘Listening Experience’ or in the ‘Advanced Settings’ section. If you find any sound enhancements, please turn them off.

If this does not resolve the issue, can you please open a ticket via our contact page.

Heads up

The Australian Federal Parliament has passed a law that extends goods and services tax (GST) to low value imports of physical goods imported by consumers from 1 July 2018.

This means that all customers purchasing Edison robots and accessories with an Australian shipping address must now pay GST. The GST will be automatically added to your purchase and show as a line item on your invoice.

We've detected that you are in Australia, so we wanted to let you know that we have changed your settings to view our Australian site, which displays GST inclusive pricing.
