I can't seem to get the edison to move at all. Lights flash, program sounds like it has success, but when I hit the triangle, all I get are red flashing lights. What am I doing wrong?

Hi!

What program are you trying to download?

Have you tried the test program?

The test program can be found in the menu of EdWare Online under "Load" > "Test Programs"

Please note that Red Control Blocks (Dual Drive, Flash LED, Play Beep, e.c.t) are an action only. They tell Edison what to do but not how long to do it for. To add a duration to the action, a red block should have a yellow "Wait Event" block after it, set to a number of seconds.

For more information about programming with EdWare, please check out our video tutorials, EdBook2 or our Lesson Plans

Which USB interface did you use?

Was it similar to this?

I just had 12 edison robots version 1 donated to me and I m having the same problem. Thanks for any help.

Hi John,

Edison robots do not use a USB interface. Edison robots a supplied with our own audio cable called the EdComm cable.

If you are having trouble may I suggest having a look through our troubleshooting page.

Heads up

The Australian Federal Parliament has passed a law that extends goods and services tax (GST) to low value imports of physical goods imported by consumers from 1 July 2018.

This means that all customers purchasing Edison robots and accessories with an Australian shipping address must now pay GST. The GST will be automatically added to your purchase and show as a line item on your invoice.

We've detected that you are in Australia, so we wanted to let you know that we have changed your settings to view our Australian site, which displays GST inclusive pricing.
