Hi

Is anyone else have an Edison not reading the barcode for IR left spin and IR left turn?

Using the barcode printed in Book1.  Using two V2.0 devices and neither are reading those two commands.  All of the other IR barcode commands are working OK.

Thanks

Have tried to program different keys on the IR remote control for these two instructions but to no avail.

All of the  barcodes for the other IR instructions are working OK.

I believe that there is an error in the barcodes for IR left spin and IR left turn.

Hi

I am able to scan and use these barcodes correctly.

What type of remote are you using?

Do you have a second remote you can try?

Thanks Ben

I'm using a Panasonic.

It is only those those two commands that are not working. All the others are fine.

I have tried programming a variety of keys on my remote. Same problem with just those two commands.

I'm inclined to think the issue is with the barcodes I used. Ben, which document did you use for the bar codes?

Thanks

Hi

Edison is set up to accept codes that use the Sony tv remote code standard.

while most remotes use this standard, some of them make small changes which can mess with Edison's remote code storage.

If you have a Sony remote you can use please try storing a code from the Sony remote with each of the 7 barcodes.

I use either EdBook1 or EdBook2 for the barcodes

Found that Edison barcodes (from Bk 1) were giving reverse instructions for my IR controller for turn and spin, so I just used the opposite codes to get it right.

Thanks

Heads up

The Australian Federal Parliament has passed a law that extends goods and services tax (GST) to low value imports of physical goods imported by consumers from 1 July 2018.

This means that all customers purchasing Edison robots and accessories with an Australian shipping address must now pay GST. The GST will be automatically added to your purchase and show as a line item on your invoice.

We've detected that you are in Australia, so we wanted to let you know that we have changed your settings to view our Australian site, which displays GST inclusive pricing.
