I want to write the program with the kids, instead of just giving them the barcodes.  But I don’t want to have to figure it out myself…..can you share the programs for the digger?

Thanks!

Hi

The barcodes for the digger are exactly the same as the “remote control driving” barcodes.

The EdDigger is not running a program, its simply driven around by remote control

I want to do the digger in my class, mostly because I already purchased 7 lego sets!  But I don’t want to have a class without any programming.  I tried writing a program, but edison only recognizes one button, and it doesn’t correspond to what I had set in the program.  I’ve tried two different Sony remotes.

Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Hi

The programs you sent are almost there!

For the Driving control, simply place a “Dual Drive” set to stop in the red cross line of the lowest IF statement.

This will cause Edison to stop the motors when no buttons are pressed, or when it sees a remote control code it is not expecting

For the Loader control, please change the lowest IF statement to “Data from a TV remote”

Finally, you will need to teach Edison which remote code number maps to which button on the remote. Please see pages 20-21 of EdBook2 for details on setting this up: https://meetedison.com/activity-books/program-edison-in-edware/

That was such a silly mistake.  Sometimes I guess it just takes fresh eyes. Thanks for your help!

Heads up

The Australian Federal Parliament has passed a law that extends goods and services tax (GST) to low value imports of physical goods imported by consumers from 1 July 2018.

This means that all customers purchasing Edison robots and accessories with an Australian shipping address must now pay GST. The GST will be automatically added to your purchase and show as a line item on your invoice.

We've detected that you are in Australia, so we wanted to let you know that we have changed your settings to view our Australian site, which displays GST inclusive pricing.
