Good day!

I worked out a simple follow the leader program, that works.. somewhat. confused

I find that I can get the leader (and  then followers) to move forward when set with any control (match #0 thru match #8), and when I set the forward and backward with match #0 and match #1 barcodes they work. I can’t get the left and right to work with any match # anymore. What am I doing wrong?? Sometimes when I hit the remote control for the match # I programmed for spin right, the leader and followers go forward?!

Leader: http://www.edwareapp.com/share/ATCtN (Note, the last loop needs to use Match#4, not Match#3, I was changing them up and forgot to change them back.)

Follower(s): http://www.edwareapp.com/share/lkAJB

I’ve tried switching up my leader to make sure there isn’t any old memory sticking around, and switching up the buttons on the remote.

For reference: I download the leader program onto one edison bot and then scan the barcode for the matches I used in the program (#’s 1 thru 4) and select the buttons on the remote to correspond to those matches. Then I download the follower program onto a couple of other edisons. I hit the play button on all of the edisons, and control the leader with the remote, watching the followers complete the same movements afterwards.

Hi

I am looking into your programs now but while I am doing that a quick note:

When adding links to a share code please add the direct link.

The links you added went through “trustwave link validator”. trustwave is not a trusted anti-virus and has been known to install itself when used in a browser. Please avoid using trustwave links from this point forth.

I have updated your posts and changed the links

I’ll update this post once I have looked through your code

Update:
The code looks ok.

I did notice a small error in the follower code, the first dual drive in the final loop should be “spin right” but it’s currently set to “Spin left”

other than that, the code looks correct. The issue may be with your remote.

Can you please try using it with the barcodes in EdBook1 to remote control Edison.

If any of the codes do not work, it is likely your remote is sending signals with are slightly different then what Edison is expecting.

If this is the case, please try using a Sony remote or a universal remote set to Sony mode and store a remote code for all of barcodes to make sure all the old codes plus any error data has been cleared out

Thanks for the idea and the code! Follow the leader (Note: Link has been removed as it is no longer supported.)

Heads up

The Australian Federal Parliament has passed a law that extends goods and services tax (GST) to low value imports of physical goods imported by consumers from 1 July 2018.

This means that all customers purchasing Edison robots and accessories with an Australian shipping address must now pay GST. The GST will be automatically added to your purchase and show as a line item on your invoice.

We've detected that you are in Australia, so we wanted to let you know that we have changed your settings to view our Australian site, which displays GST inclusive pricing.
