Ben is in his final year of Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Maths and Computer Science majoring in Computer Science at the  University of Adelaide and is currently undertaking a robotics based honours project.

So, why Ben?

Ben is a perfect match for Team Edison. He has extensive teaching experience from volunteering 150 hours facilitating Robogals robotics workshops in primary and high schools. Through these sessions he has gained insight into the benefits experienced by both teachers and students during robotics lessons.

He is passionate about getting everyone involved in technology, I first met Ben at Adelaide’s Science Alive! Expo where he was involved in a 3D printing stand, aimed at showing that 3D printing is accessible to everyone.

Ben is passionate about technology and programming and says ‘In this digital age, huge life changing innovation can be realised in lines of code. Computer science education is now as important as maths and literacy and should be available to everyone’

Ben will be the driving force behind our tech support, taking over the majority of support emails and will be a regular blogger here at  meetedison.com. It’s reported he will be working pretty closely with Batman, something that Batman seems quite excited about

Heads up

The Australian Federal Parliament has passed a law that extends goods and services tax (GST) to low value imports of physical goods imported by consumers from 1 July 2018.

This means that all customers purchasing Edison robots and accessories with an Australian shipping address must now pay GST. The GST will be automatically added to your purchase and show as a line item on your invoice.

We've detected that you are in Australia, so we wanted to let you know that we have changed your settings to view our Australian site, which displays GST inclusive pricing.
