The EdMat is an A1 size (59cm x 84cm) (23.2in x 33.1in) robot activity mat that can be downloaded for free from the EdMat page on our website and printed at your local print shop.

Printing and lamination recommendations: The EdMat can be laminated to protect it, but if you do laminate it make sure you select a matte finish. A glossy lamination on the EdMat will upset Edison’s sensor and may cause errors, so the EdMat must be laminated with a matte finish laminate.

  • Print the EdMat on 200GSM or thicker paper
  • Only use a matte finish laminate, if laminating

Are your Edison robots not working with your EdMat? This may be because of the finish on the EdMat. Try printing out the Edison barcodes on standard paper and test your robot using the printed barcodes to determine if the issue is with the EdMat laminate or the robot.

Heads up

The Australian Federal Parliament has passed a law that extends goods and services tax (GST) to low value imports of physical goods imported by consumers from 1 July 2018.

This means that all customers purchasing Edison robots and accessories with an Australian shipping address must now pay GST. The GST will be automatically added to your purchase and show as a line item on your invoice.

We've detected that you are in Australia, so we wanted to let you know that we have changed your settings to view our Australian site, which displays GST inclusive pricing.
