At this time, EdScratch is only able to display English inside the application. We will be looking into a translation solution for EdScratch in the future, but do not have a release date for this feature at this time.
Please be sure to sign up to our newsletter to hear about this update when it becomes available. https://meetedison.com/keep-up…..th-edison/

I’m a french teacher and I bought an Edison V2 in order to test it. For an easy use for french pupils, EdScratch should be displayed in french as it’s possible with EdWare.
In France, in the Éducation nationale official programs, Scratch is the software recommended (for 6 to 15 years old pupils) to learn programming and it’s translated in French. The Edison seems to be a very good robot with low cost that could be adopted by schools but the language is an obstacle. So, is a french translation planned ?
Other question : Thymio robot can be programmed with Scratch thanks to a plugin (https://mobsya.github.io/thymi…..ex-en.html). Do you plan to add an extension in Scratch 3 in order to program the Edison robot ?

We are looking to provide a French translation of EdScratch, but still at this time cannot provide a release date for this feature, my apologies.
We do not have any current plans to create an Edison extension for Scratch 3.
We do have an EdScratch blocks French translation guide , that may be of interest to you.
We also provide our free lesson plans under a Creative Commons license and if anyone would like to translate them into another langage we are happy to help facilitate this, information about this is under ‘Additional Resources‘ on the EdScratch page.
